The Forest Tree Breeding Database is a comprehensive platform designed to support forest tree breeding research. It provides:
The database is continuously updated with new species and data to support cutting-edge research in forest genetics and breeding.
On the BLAST page, users can submit nucleotide or protein sequences for homologous sequence alignment. The tool supports four modes:
blastn: Nucleotide vs Nucleotideblastp: Protein vs Proteinblastx: Nucleotide vs Proteintblastn: Protein vs NucleotideAfter setting the corresponding parameters and mode, users need to send a verification code and verify their email address to facilitate viewing results in the email. The final results are also presented on the page, showing matching degree information for each sequence.
BLAST submission interface for entering sequences and configuring alignment parameters.
BLAST results interface displaying alignment matches with detailed similarity metrics.
The BLAST tool supports multiple sequence formats and provides detailed alignment information including E-values, bit scores, and sequence identities.
The Prognosis tool performs functional annotation prediction for DNA sequences using advanced machine learning algorithms:
On this page, users can input sequences in FASTA format or raw sequence format. After submission, the system will display the most likely function of the gene along with its confidence score.
Prediction interface showing function prediction and confidence scores for DNA sequences.
Users can also input multiple sequences for simultaneous prediction. Separate sequences using ">" characters as delimiters. Upon submission, all prediction results will be collectively displayed, and the complete results can be downloaded in CSV format.
Multiple sequence prediction interface supporting batch processing.
The Browse & Download page provides comprehensive access to gene or protein data for different tree species. Our platform supports two main download options:
Complete Species Data: Download entire datasets for specific species, including all available gene or protein sequences. This option is ideal for comprehensive analyses and large-scale studies.
Individual Fragment Data: Download specific sequence fragments as needed. This flexible option allows researchers to access particular genes or proteins without downloading entire datasets.
Download entire species datasets with a single click. This includes all available gene or protein sequences for the selected species.
Individual fragment data download interface for selective sequence retrieval.
The database features an intuitive browsing interface with a genus classification tree on the left side, enabling you to quickly navigate and locate desired species data. The right-side table displays detailed information about each species, including statistics on gene fragments, protein fragments, and data sizes. To access detailed fragment-level information for any species, simply click the "Details" button in the table.
